Days 1 through 10

We left on Saturday, 11/6 but stopped in Blue Mounds for the first night. We had some issues with the tow dolly that needed to be dealt with. A quick trip to Farm and Fleet and it was solved, but only after 3 stops.


It took us almost 7 days to reach our first "real" destination...Page, AZ. Most nights were spent parked in Wal Marts or rest stops along the way. I forgot how difficult it is to drive across country. Very tiring. Hours and hours of nothing. Especially in Kansas, Oklahoma & Texas. I'm glad to be in Page now parked at Debbie's Hideaway Motel for a few days. We are visiting Bob Wombacher from Madison, WI. He's here visiting his brother and father. His brother manages Debbie's.

We enjoyed a couple of very nice hikes and a short mountain bike ride. Beautiful sunny weather is the norm but chilly at night.
